About Me
If you’re looking for the sweetest, kindest, bundle of love, look no further – Marigold is all of that and more. She arrived to SNIPSA’s program in early March with only a few hairs on her body. She was emaciated, scared of her own shadow, and suffered from advanced sarcoptic mange. After several consistent bowls of dog food and some gentle coaxing, she learned to trust humans and is now the Velcro dog. Her tail might as well be a propeller because it wags nonstop. She is not pushy or dominant – just observant, inquisitive and full of tremendous joy. She has recently mastered following her foster mom off lead from her little outdoor enclosure to sleeping in her kennel at night and loves the cozy blankets and all the activities of indoor life. She is well-behaved, and loves goldfish, bacon, eggs and basically any treat that comes her way. She would be amazing with children, the elderly or anyone willing to give her attention and care. Marigold does well with other dogs, too, and loves their companionship. We hope to teach her how to walk on a leash soon and perhaps a few fancy tricks. She is now sporting a full shiny coat of fur, and is transitioning to a beautiful doggo!! If you think she may be the one to do “dog life” with — consider adding this jewel to your home!!!

Well, we’ve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! 💗 Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats and–more than anything–his people! In his foster home, Scout hasn’t wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his “walkies” where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, he’s perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special! 🌱
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. 🤞 He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. Double the parades made for double the fun this Fiesta weekend!!! 👑🐕🦺🪅 Saturday morning, our rescues were walked, carried and given allll the kisses during the King William Parade. Our Shoe litter also made their debut at Therapy Animals of San Antonio’s 26th Annual Pooch Parade! We had such a great time partying with our San Antonio community, showing off our pups and selling the last of our 2024 Fiesta medals. A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who rose at the crack of dawn to spread some puppy love! 😄💗🐾

I’m Lucy Lu! Who are you?! 🤗 Well, I’m the sweetest, most playful girl around. I’ll run zoooomies around your heart if you’ll just let me. Originally adopted as a puppy back in 2021, I was sadly returned due to some unforeseen circumstances in my parents’ lives. But despite needing to find a new home, I’m the best dog ever! ❤️🩹 I love going on walks, playing fetch and showing off my best tricks for Milk Bones. At the end of the day, my favorite thing to do is cuddle up with my loved ones and watch movies. I am great with kids and other dogs, so I should make an easy adjustment to just about any family home. And not to mention, I have the best house manners! 🐾 My breed is a bit of a mystery, but SNIPSA thinks I’m some kind of Boston Terrier mix.
