Bonnie
Bonnie is a female, 11 year old Rottweiler weighing 56 lbs. Bonnie is living in a private home in foster care after she and her other family members (Wally, Morrie and Molly) were surrendered to SNIPSA during SNIPSA's "Big Fix" spay and neuter clinic in May. All four dogs were living on 3 ft. chains in deplorable conditions. In SNIPSA's first official joint effort with "Dogs Deserve Better," all four dogs were rescued and are now living in foster homes. All four Rottweilers are as sweet and wonderful as can be. Bonnie is an absolute dream. She is affectionate and quiet. She is friendly towards other dogs, large and small, and does not bother the multiple cats in her foster home. She is so pleased to finally have someone paying attention to her that she will do anything her foster mom asks of her. She is also great on a leash, and is completely kennel trained. She has never lived indoors before, but she is steadily improving at her house training. Bonnie's favorite place to sleep is on the cool kitchen floor. She loves not being in the hot sun anymore! Bonnie always greets you with a sweet smile and wagging tail. Bonnie had a mammary tumor which was removed during her spay surgery. She is also heartworm positive and will be treated for this before she goes to her new home. Heartworm treatment will not affect her future health. Bonnie is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
