Clara

Well hello everyone! I’m Clara, and I’m looking for a loving forever home. Please excuse me for getting straight to the point, but I’ve been in rescue for a bit now, and I feel like I am ready to have a family of my very own. I LOVE other dogs, and play well with them, even puppies! My brother Eduardo(also available for adoption through SNIPSA) and I can play together for hours. We are also both crate trained. I am a very polite well mannered little girl, and I will sit when I want something.

Here is the story of how I was found: Clara and her siblings and cousins were rescued by SNIPSA when while preparing for the 3rd Big Fix Spay Neuter Event. While walking through the neighborhood gathering names to participate in the Big Fix, volunteers noticed a yard with 5 cute little puppies and their mom. As we continued we saw another litter in the backyard that seemed to be a little bit older. When the owners of the dogs came to talk with us they explained that they had rescued two female dogs that were sisters, and that they were told they were already spayed. Unfortunately they soon found that not to be true. Within a month both girls ended up pregnant and the family found themselves with a litter of 12 and a litter of 8. Some of the puppies did not survive and some had escaped from the yard and were accidentally killed. The owners really wanted to find them good homes but did not know the best way to do so. They were very grateful that we happened to come along. SNIPSA had open foster homes and brought all 9 puppies home that day. SNIPSA was also able to sign the two moms up to be spayed, so these accidental litters will no longer be a problem for this family.

As you can see, I have been pretty lucky to end up where am I now, and I hope to end up even luckier, being part of a wonderful forever family like yours!
