Gambler

Gambler is a 5 year old Havanese weighing 13 pounds. He was rescued from San Antonio Animal Care Services after being confiscated from a local breeder along with 59 other dogs. Gambler was used as a breeding stud dog and developed very few social skills. He has been in foster care for some time and remains very, very shy around humans he does not know. He has gained some confidence by watching how the other dogs in his foster home interact with people, but still has a long way to go to fully trust in people. He would probably do best with another dog to help him continue to progress. He loves water and will jump in a wading pool in the summer to cool off. However, he is very frightened of rain storms. Gambler knows how to use a doggy door and comes and goes at will. He loves being outside.
