Hope

Female, about 6 years old and weighs 75 lbs. Hope is being fostered in a home in San Antonio after she was rescued by SNIPSA from San Antonio's Animal Care Facility. When Hope first came into SNIPSA's rescue program, she was VERY thin, sick, and had a lot of bald spots on her coat. Hope is turning into a gorgeous Labrador Retriever and has made a complete turn-around. Hope has stolen her foster mom's heart and she says Hope is their all-time favorite foster dog! Hope is classified as a "fox red" Lab, which is a derivative of a "yellow" lab. Fox reds are somewhat rare. To read about the color "fox red" in Labrador Retrievers, you may click on Fox Red Labs. Hope has a very happy personality. She is very playful, but also knows when it's time to settle down. She never meets a stranger and is very people-oriented. Hope is great with children, cats and other dogs. She knows "sit", "stay" and walks great on leash. She LOVES the water and enjoys trips to the Guadalupe River with her foster family. She is also great at playing "fetch". Hope is house trained and knows how to use the doggie door in her foster home. Despite whatever sad life Hope led prior to this, it hasn't affected her beautiful personality. She is the quintessential family pet and companion! She is a very happy, go lucky, Labrador Retriever and she's just glad to be part of her foster family. Hope has been spayed, she is current on vaccinations and she's microchipped.
