Merlin

I’m Merlin. My mom and I were rescued from San Antonio ACS. I am super friendly and I LOVE other dogs and children. I sleep well in a crate and love to explore the outdoors! My foster mom says that I’m “an absolutely adorable and sweet puppy!!” She also says, "He is a hit at adoption events because he is so calm and well-behaved, and he walks on the leash like a champ!" She is a nice lady, and is patiently teaching me house training and crate training. I’m doing my very best, as I want to be a great dog for a good family who loves me. Update from Merlin's Foster Mom (October 2011): "Merlin is completely house trained. He is crate trained but no longer needs to stay in a crate, he stays out in my house even when I’m at work, he doesn’t bother anything except his toys. He loves other dogs, walks great on a leash and isn’t the least bit aggressive over bones, food or toys. He’s still very shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. He weighs 56 lbs and I think he will probably get up to 65 lbs or so when full grown. He’s a very calm gentle boy. He loves me and so far I’m the only person he loves I’ve been trying but he isn’t keen on the idea. He rides in a car great and doesn’t mind sitting in the car when I run errands if he isn’t allowed in the store. He’s been on several long car trips ie to Atlanta and MS and he’s been a perfect guest at other peoples house, too!"
