Adoption Pending 3.14.10 Updated Bio and New Photos: 2/23/10

Nacho is a male Collie mix born on October 26, 2009. He and his siblings and cousins were rescued by SNIPSA when while preparing for the 3rd Big Fix Spay Neuter Event. While walking through the neighborhood gathering names to participate in the Big Fix, volunteers noticed a yard with 5 cute little puppies and their mom. As we continued we saw another litter in the backyard that seemed to be a little bit older. When the owners of the dogs came to talk with us they explained that they had rescued two female dogs that were sisters, and that they were told they were already spayed. Unfortunately they soon found that not to be true. Within a month both girls ended up pregnant and the family found themselves with a litter of 12 and a litter of 8. Some of the puppies did not survive and some had escaped from the yard and were accidentally killed. The owners really wanted to find them good homes but did not know the best way to do so. They were very grateful that we happened to come along. SNIPSA had open foster homes and brought all 9 puppies home that day. We were also able to sign the two mom's up to be spayed! The puppies are all doing great in their foster homes and are ready to be adopted. They are becoming very social and will make great family pets. They have been completely vaccinated, and dewormed, they have started heartworm prevention and have been spayed/neutered. UPDATE: Nacho is doing great in his foster home. He gets along great with other dogs and kids. He is completely crate trained and almost there with house training. If you are interested in adopting Nacho, please complete an Application.
