Nighthawk is an 18-month old Black Labrador Retriever who weighs approximately 65 pounds. Nighthawk was rescued from San Antonio Animal Care Services where he had been picked up as a stray. Nighthawk was obviously once someone's beloved pet as he was microchipped and wearing a rabies tag. Numerous attempts to contact his previous family came up empty. This is just a reminder of how important it is to register your pet's microchip and keep the information current when you move. Nighthawk is a sweet boy and loves being around people and other dogs. He has one more love as well....his tennis ball!! Nighthawk loves to play fetch and will give you encouragement to throw the ball again when he brings it back to you. He is also quite capable of entertaining himself with it as he will carry it around and toss it for himself if he needs to. The bouncier the better for this guy! Nighthawk also has learned to walk nicely on a leash and enjoys his daily walks with his foster mom and other SNIPSA volunteers. He has a SNIPSA lab buddy (Mango) that he goes for daily walks with and the two of them do wonderfully together. Nighthawk will make a wonderful family companion. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped.
