Pie
Border Collie/Spaniel Mix, Male, one year old, will probably weigh about 40 lbs. when he gains his needed weight. Frito and his brother, "Pie" (also available for adoption through SNIPSA) were found running stray at the Police Training Air Strip. One of the kind officers took them into safety and is fostering them in his home for SNIPSA until they can find forever homes. When these dogs were first rescued, both were very thin. Over the last few weeks they have put on weight, their coats have become shiny and their eyes are bright. They are enjoying life in their foster home. In fact, their foster parents think that neither dog had ever been given a bone before now. Neither dog knew what to do with the bone, when first given it. They are smart dogs and quickly figured it out! In fact, both of these dogs are very smart and are learning basic commands and are learning quickly. They are also both very affectionate and loyal dogs. They are usually not more than two steps behind their foster mom. They love receiving attention and being petted. It is obvious they have not had the kind of life they deserve! They are also wonderful with children and with other dogs and are crate-trained. They are also playful dogs and enjoy playing ball and tug of war. Either of these dogs would make a great family dog!
