Smudge

Smudge is a 4-month old male chihuahua terrier mix currently weighing 7 lbs but will grow a bit larger, around 15 lbs. He is being fostered by SNIPSA in a home in San Antonio. Smudge was found by a good samaritan in a grocery store parking lot and had been painted purple. He was a miserable little fellow, starving, crying and itching because he was suffering from mange. SNIPSA has treated little Smudge for his ailments and he's blossomed into a handsome puppy. He's full of life, is very playful and energetic. He is a high energy lap dog! He has learned how to play "fetch" and can put any retriever to shame with his skills! Smudge gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, as long as they are friendly to him. He is fine with older children (10+ years old), but not as tolerant of younger children. Smudge is in the process of becoming housebroken and also learning to walk on a leash. Smudge is actually very smart and learns tricks quickly. This little dog would do great in future agility competitions! But, don't be fooled. He also likes to lay in your lap and be petted and have his belly rubbed! Smudge has been neutered, he's current on vaccinations and microchipped.
