In rescue, you never know what is going to happen or what is coming in the door next when dealing with stray, unwanted, or dogs found in shelters. Many are just neglected and need grooming, spay/neuter, vaccinations and a lot of TLC. However, there are many animals that sustain injuries that are very costly to fix. Animals that have been hit by a car or attacked by another dog are examples. For these dogs the adoption fees do not begin to cover the cost of care. Below are some dogs that in such a situation. Wouldn't you like to sponsor one of them?

The Story of QTip February 2012

Not all medical emergecies are incurred prior to bringing a dog into SNIPSA. QTip was brought into SNIPSA late last year with mange. Easy to treat and easy to adopt such a beautiful puppy. QTip was adopted to a family moving from an apartment to a house and they asked that the fosters keep him for a while so they could move and not have to worry about him. In a freak accident that only happens to puppies, QTip broke his elbow. His owners did not have the money to pay for the surgery, so SNIPSA reclaimed the puppy and surgery was performed to repair his elbow. His fracture was not a simple break. He had an excellent repair through STVS but it was expensive to put his shattered little leg back together. QTip would be very grateful if you would sponsor him until he is well enough to go home.

St Nick's Rescue Story

The Story of St. Nick

UPDATE:St Nick is doing very well and is adotped into a wonderful home. Thank you for all your support and contributions.

St. Nick “found” SNIPSA after being hit by a car. He just happened to be arriving to Animal Care Services at the same time a volunteer was picking up another injured dog. His story is quite remarkable and gives credence to why dogs are such incredible creatures. They hold no grudges, keep looking ahead, and appreciate what they have. Take a minute to watch the video. Donations are being sought to help with St. Nick’s medical care. Through your support, we are able to help other dogs just like St. Nick.
