Vincent

Vincent came to SNIPSA in November of 2007. He was picked up by Animal Care Services from the streets of San Antonio. He is a wonderful dog and everyone that knows him doesn't understand why he has not been adopted yet. He has been in foster care for a while now and really needs to find a forever home.

Vincent is a lovable, smart and obedient dog. He is good with most other dogs, but needs to be able to be the dominate dog in the group. He'd do best in a home that has an active younger dog that he can play tug of war and chase. He does not do well with smaller dogs. He also doesn't care for cats. He does however, do very well with children. In his foster home there is a 4 year old that he adores. He is also well mannered. He doesn't jump up, he knows "sit", "down", "back", "out" and "stay". He loves car rides, swimming and walks. He walks well on a gentle leader leash and will stay right beside you. He is very loyal and seems to prefer men. He also loves to retrieve sticks and balls and is learning to return them. He is also crate trained, house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Although Vincent is well trained, SNIPSA will pay for obedience classes for Vincent and his new owner.

Vincent participated in the recent Fiesta Flambeau Parade's Vanguard section and had the time of his life! He did well on his leash and enjoyed all the Fiesta cheer. He was eager to meet and greet all the parade patrons. He especially enjoyed the bus ride with many other canine rescues cruising to the parade site.

Vincent is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped. Vincent will make someone a wonderful pet! He has been in foster care longer than any other dog at SNIPSA.
