Yasmine is a 2 year old terrier mix and weighs 32 pounds. Yasmine was rescued from San Antonio Animal Care Services where she had been brought in as a stray. A SNIPSA employee happened to be at the shelter at the time this sweet girl was brought in. She was wet, matted, and cold but you could see her spirit through all of that. As the shelter staff brought her paperwork over we noticed they thought she may have a broken leg. SNIPSA immediately knew we could help this sweetie. Yasmine made the journey straight from ACS to the veterinarians office for x-rays where it was discovered she had a dislocated hip and would require surgery to repair it. Yasmine has had an FHO to repair the injury and has begun her recovery. As if the dislocated hip was not enough, Yasmine also tested positive for heartworms. SNIPSA will treat those as well and there will be no long term health effects. Despite her rough past week or so Yasmine has begun to show her sweet personality in her foster home. As she recovers and we learn more about her we will keep her bio updated frequently. Yasmine is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
