About Me
Shrimp was recently found in a neighborhood near our office, with no collar or microchip to lead her home. After an exhaustive search, we are trying to now find her a home.
Shrimp is a super sweet girl with a chillaxed attitude. She loves belly rubs and being near her people. She is relatively low-energy but can go with the flow, meaning she’ll happily join you in any and all of your activities. She gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the neighbor’s cat that always comes in the yard. She is house trained and crate trained and even knows some commands like “sit” and “paw.” She has recently discovered the swimming pool and has been helping herself to a swim to cool off. She would be a great addition to almost any family. She would be fine as an only dog as she definitely prefers people over dogs, but gets along great with other dogs, so would make a great 2nd or 3rd dog in a family as well.
By nature, Labrador Retrievers are easygoing, fun-loving dogs. They make great family pets and have the energy to keep any children or other pets entertained. With their love for the outdoors, they also make great hunting, fishing or boating partners! Labs are the most popular breed in the world for a reason. Well, we’ve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! 💗 Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats and–more than anything–his people! In his foster home, Scout hasn’t wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his “walkies” where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, he’s perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special! 🌱
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. 🤞 He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. Double the parades made for double the fun this Fiesta weekend!!! 👑🐕🦺🪅 Saturday morning, our rescues were walked, carried and given allll the kisses during the King William Parade. Our Shoe litter also made their debut at Therapy Animals of San Antonio’s 26th Annual Pooch Parade! We had such a great time partying with our San Antonio community, showing off our pups and selling the last of our 2024 Fiesta medals. A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who rose at the crack of dawn to spread some puppy love! 😄💗🐾
