Just one week ago SNIPSA set out to spay/neuter hundreds of dogs and cats on our city’s southwest side…and we did…424 of them! Each time we host a Big Fix, we aren’t sure of the landscape, who may show up, what volunteers or veterinarians might attend, what we will serve for lunch, how we will unload and set up the thousands of pounds of equipment, and the countless details it requires to pull off an event of this magnitude. But somehow it works out. People come out of the woodwork. Young children empty our trash. A bakery donates cookies. A volunteer paints one of our treasured signs. And donated cleaning supplies fill our lobby. It’s truly amazing! Not only do we celebrate 424 more companion animals spayed/neutered but we also celebrate the incredible stewardship on behalf of our community. A HUGE thank you to everyone that stepped up to make this day a success.
