That’s exactly what more than 750 eager dog lovers did this past Saturday with SNIPSA’s 11th Annual Race for the Rescues… tutus and all. The rain held while 150 volunteers, local vendors, and community groups gathered together to benefit San Antonio’s homeless animals. Special thanks to Mike’s Dog Store, Gunn Auto, Shake Shack, HEB, IAAP, Raising Canes, FirstMate Pet Foods, Blue Pearl Veterinary Hospital, Rosella Coffee, Las Nieves, Greg Barnett, and Ross Benton Photography for coming out and supporting the cause. Face painting by Tammi Blythe, balloon twisting from Such Fun Entertainers, arts and crafts by Walden Pond, and glitter tattoos provided by National Charity League, were a special hit for kids and adults of all ages. And Team Dog made a special appearance with their search and rescue shepherds! Thank you to everyone that supported our event – faithful sponsors, volunteers, staff, and all the people old and young that entered the race to help an animal in need. Over $100,000 cash money raised. Now let’s continue to do what we do best…SAVE LIVES!
