Volunteers are the heartbeat of SNIPSA. We rely on the time, effort, and kind hearts of volunteers to accomplish the things we do. Each year we rescue over 1000 animals from dire situations off the streets and from local animal shelters. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip 1500 animals residing in low income areas of town that would otherwise continue to reproduce and contribute to San Antonio’s huge stray population. We do all of this because of YOU, our volunteers.
SNIPSA volunteers average close to 1000 hours a month (this is not including the countless hours fosters give day in and day out opening their homes to our rescues) giving to the animals in our community because they believe in what we do. We can always use more hands on deck though! While opportunities to volunteer are abundant, there are two major ways an individual or group can volunteer with SNIPSA.
