Hold that champagne high–we have accomplished SO MUCH at SNIPSA in 2023! From rehoming 1,009 animals to spaying and neutering 2,875 animals in need (1,923 of which were FREE), the numbers speak volumes!

We owe our gratitude to this incredible network of adopters, fosters, volunteers, donors and supporters that grows by the year. We are so much more than our small staff here at SNIPSA…it takes a village to make such an impact on San Antonio’s pet population. From the bottom of our hearts, we THANK YOU!

The Big Fix | Our most recent Big Fix was full of highs and lows. Yes, we had our trailer stolen…but we also received PILES of donations and support from animal lovers of all ages. So many dedicated veterinarians, technicians, medically minded volunteers, and just kind hearted people pulled together to sterilize, microchip, and vaccinate 520 plus dogs and cats in need – our biggest Big Fix to date.

Paws in the Park: Canines n’ Cauldrons | Our third annual Paws in the Park was witchy and wonderful! Thankfully, we were able to beat the rain and enjoy a night of canine-friendly festivities. We loved seeing your spellbinding costumes, hanging out with our favorite vendors and indulging in all the Halloween treats! Pinkerton’s is legendary for its delicious barbecue and Legacy Park is one special green space in the heart of downtown.

SNIPSA’s 16th Annual Race for the Rescues | Taco ’bout a RACE! Shoutout to all of the amigos who attended our 16th Annual Race for the Rescues. With 1,049 participants and countless volunteers, SNIPSA raised over $220,000 to benefit the homeless animals in the Alamo City. Highlights included face painting, stilt walkers, the Spurs hype squad, mariachis, delicious tacos and churros and even paint your own artwork for the doggos.

Puppy Noses & Yoga Poses | Big stretch!!! Downward dog!!! From sleepy savasanas to playful poses, our puppies did it all this year. Once again, we partnered with Mobile Om to offer puppy yoga classes. These fun-loving sessions were a great way to showcase our puppies and unwind while enjoying the amazing locale of Confluence Park. San Antonio has many amazing resources and this is just one more way the parks benefit our community.

Celebrating Fiesta | SNIPSA joined in not one, but TWO parades! We gathered a festive team and walked the King William Parade and also joined in the fun at the Fiesta Pooch Parade hosted by Therapy Animals of San Antonio. The costumes were over the top, the floats full of imagination and the events simply pay tribute to how well-loved our pets are. VIVA FIESTA! Stay tuned for our oh-so-awesome 2024 Fiesta Medal.
