Foster

Foster parents are the cornerstones of saving lives. Without a standing shelter, we depend entirely on individuals to house our rescues until a permanent home can be found. Foster families incorporate the rescue into their home where they learn basic obedience, housebreaking, crate training, socialization, and generally how to be a good member of the family. Much of the dirty work is already underway allowing for a “ready made” rescue to transition into its new adoptive family. Fostering provides us with the opportunity to learn first hand how an animal behaves. We know if the animal is an escape artist, has a drive for exercise, likes children/cats, would prefer to be a lap dog, is quiet versus high energy, and simply provides us with a profile for adoption.
